If you surf through this website, you'll notice that I love to draw and paint bodies! As a person who works out, with weights, I fully understand the difficulty in creating the work of art that is the beautifully-muscled human body. By putting less value on capturing the face, I am endeavoring to show the body - both male and, in this case, female - as an exquisite landscape of muscle and sinew. Here is my first "landscape".

When I drew "Frank Sinatra" (which appears on a later Drawings Page...), many folks asked me about its availability. I had NO idea how popular that artwork was going to be! While the first drawing has defintely found a very loving home - with a hugely adoring fan of Ol' Blue Eyes - any subject THAT much in demand deserves a follow-up piece....hence, "Frank Sinatra II"!

The human mating dance is a complex one. Each sexual category thinks that the other has an advantage – each gender thinks that their opposite uses their “power” unfairly. But, regardless of how many eons go by…no matter how many fights for equality take place….each sex knows their role in the dance. Someone must show interest in the other in a way that gets their attention. No mixed messages need apply. So, what is this woman trying to say?

In my humble opinion, there is absolutely NOTHING as sexy as a confident woman sitting with her legs crossed. The oh-so-subtle gesture is, to me, so overtly feminine that it is captivatingly hypnotizing. If I captured even 1/10th of that gesture’s power, I believe that I did my job, as an artist, well.
